 | | | Alexis Kozak | | | | Alexis Kozak holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts and in English from Rutgers University and an MFA in Playwrighting from Boston University. He is an actor, playwright, and director, whose plays, The Black Bird Returns and Babel Tower, have been produced off-Broadway. In Los Angeles, Alexis has performed with The Evidence Room in the west coast premier of David Edgars Pentecost. He has an ongoing collaboration with Flint Esquerra, Artistic Director of the MET Theatre in Hollywood, on the 12 year cycle experimental play, Consanguinity, that started its cycle in 2002. He has studied acting with Alan Feinstein and Paul Tuerpe in Los Angeles, participated in the Wordsmiths Playwriting Lab, Lincoln Center Theatre Directors Lab West, and various A.S.K. Theatre Projects workshops. Through A.S.K., he has participated in workshops with playwrights Lee Blessing, Deb Margolin, and Heather Woodbury. His plays Oedipus Wrecked, Crucifying Aunt Bea, and Malled have been performed in New York, New Jersey, and California. He currently teaches high school theatre in Middletown, NJ he is finally tenured. |
